A native of Corpus Christi, Texas and a graduate of Richard King High School, Edward “Eb” earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in nursing at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. Upon completion of his undergraduate program, he was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Eb is a board certified family nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certification program (AANP). During his graduate nursing program he completed his clinical rotations in primary care, pediatrics, women’s health and orthopaedics.

 

Eb began his nursing career in the intensive care unit at Corpus Christi Medical Center managing a wide variety of critically ill patients. He joined the Orthopaedic Center of Corpus Christi in 2012 with a primary role in facilitating patient care, providing post-operative education and rehabilitation counseling. He possesses a sincere passion for his patient’s overall well-being and believes that effective communication is the foundation for providing high quality medical care. As a member of the Orthopaedic Center’s health care team, Eb works with both operative and non-operative patient's to actively participate in their care and treatment in order to obtain high level clinical outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Eb serves as part of the medical staff to provide orthopaedic services to local high school athletes, area semi-professional sports teams, as well as Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi and Kingsville. He is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses {NAON} and the Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses.
