Dr. April Roberts is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who was born and raised in a small town in Arkansas. She remained in Arkansas for college and earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She went on to complete her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Following residency, she completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she had the privilege of training under and working alongside world-renowned surgeons in their respective fields.  

Many of the surgical patients she cared for while in San Antonio were from the Coastal Bend area, which influenced her decision to move to Corpus Christi. She felt she could fulfill a need in the community by allowing patients to receive the care they needed closer to home. Dr. Roberts' personal experiences as an orthopaedic patient have given her a unique ability to relate to her patients, providing a level of empathy and understanding that might not otherwise be possible.  

She has been in Corpus Christi since completing her fellowship training in San Antonio and enjoys being part of and serving the Coastal Bend community. Dr. Roberts provides care to many high school and college athletes. She specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery; however, she also enjoys providing care in most areas of orthopaedics and treating patients of all ages.  

Dr. Roberts treasures the time she spends outside of work with her amazing daughters, Kasyn and Bentley, and their dogs, Elliott and Lulu. She loves spending time with her girls, being outdoors, going to the beach, fishing, running, biking, and enjoying time with friends and family. She is an avid sports fan and will always be an Arkansas Razorback at heart. Woo Pig Sooie!  

Dr. Roberts is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to “getting you back in the game,” whether that means returning to sports, work, family activities, or simply being able to enjoy life again.
