A native of Lubbock, Dr. Lewis has been practicing orthopaedics in Texas over 31 years and joined The Orthopaedic Center of Corpus Christi in 1983. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His practice involves general orthopaedics with special interest in total joint replacement procedures and sports medicine, as well as more advanced reconstructive foot operations.

Dr. Lewis is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and has served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital and Chief of Surgery at the Driscoll Children’s Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Orthopaedic Association, and the Nueces County Medical Society.

Dr. Lewis has staff memberships at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Christus Spohn South Hospital, Doctor’s Regional Medical Center, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Surgicare Specialty Hospital and South Texas Surgical Hospital.
